I’ve had a rather typical weekend with some rest, recreation, a bit of drama, a bit of reading and catching up with a good pal from yawns ago. They all happened over the two days of the good ol’ Saturday and Sunday which were usually held up by some work or family duties. But not this weekend.
I’ve had a busy few weeks leading up to this weekend as the calendar was filled all of a sudden to the brim with a newsletter to wrap up for a client, a new client coming on board for facebook marketing and a data compliance documentation work for another client.
As our plates were juggled between filling up the newsletter with the pre-scheduled content of market updates and some of our client’s successful company stories, we were also informed that their sister companies had won a record breaking number of prizes at the annual EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed & Sustainable Property Awards 2021. The success that culminated from there led us to expand the pages to accommodate the award winners and their victorious stories.
For our facebook marketing client, from getting things up to speed, we also squeezed in a photo & videoshoot session so we could begin compiling images and footages for our upcoming campaign for lead generation. Although one shoot has been completed, it remains insufficient because at least two more are needed to complete the visual library for the first three months of the project. You can imagine the amount of work required from here which ordinarily will only take one shoot.
So what transpired after we’ve wrapped up the newsletter on Friday evening? My mind began to let in some time to relax and some fresh air to enter the space that occupied my midst. I even slept a little earlier than usual so the forty winks could help to rejuvenate the body, mind and soul.
With the roomier living boundary, in came some creativity. For us who count writing as part of our repertoire, creativity is the commodity that can take us through from a set of blank pages to a full ream of printed content. The satisfaction although is guaranteed when the job done is well and above expectations, it can also escalate to fatigue and boredom over a prolonged period of time. The balanced weekend of activities as such was a welcoming hotbed for thinking, ideation, solutioning and perhaps a clearer direction of what I should be doing next….because with rising infectious rate of the Covid-19, it is possible for another lockdown to take place in Malaysia and if it does, what shall become of our livelihood since the first bout of the pandemic has essentially wiped us out without a warning?
With the sky showing me this last evening after I watered my plants, I wondered if at all the moon could speak, what would it be saying?
What, if at all, will the message be with her high up there and us way down below on earth?
Moments later when it was no longer covered by the clouds, it shone bright like a diamond in the sky. Mesmerised but still couldn’t help but wonder…
Then as I walked out to the balcony again today, again the sky caught my imagination. It’s a continuation I thought.
There must be something I thought; more like I hope.
As I recollect the conversation I had with my friend early this evening together with my wife, I must say the message seems to get clearer.
That after verbalising what I had in mind out of the sincerity to share, it seems apparent that the same thoughts have been highlighted earlier today when I was listening to the Sunday sermon online.
With the sky gym jutting out with the awe-inspiring view of the sky high up above, the formulation of what is to come may be spelt this way:
- That I am to complete my first book, a Christian book that is, with only several chapters left to edit and some production work to follow before it gets published.
- That I am also to launch out in a digitalisation way by embracing the new tools available and make it part of the grand commission for this year.
- That in completing the above, I am also to bring interested clients on board so they too can expand and multiply their outreach.
- Completing the puzzle is to get into a new space of facing the camera a little more and projecting it out there for the keen participants.
If the moon and sky could speak, it could likely be telling me to stand out like the sky gym, like the man made bright lights shining from below and the even brighter light of the moon whether or not the clouds are there. Ultimately, when we are able to stand firm and amass confidence in what we set out to do, girded with a righteous intention to also add value and not harm, the humble initiative might just turn into a grand master plan worthy of our time to pursue.
Beneath it all, the theme is not just for me, myself and I but the divine impartation seems to have redirected my attention to what tugs my heart. In no better way to say this, central to the theme that ties in every ounce of effort worthy of our diligence is the people of our future – the Youth!
Please pray for me and this humble endeavour that by beginning with the baby steps, it shall grow into a larger purpose that will find its place in my life and form my part of the history.
Thank you and may you also be bountifully blessed with a fruitful and adventurous week ahead!
